Musab Drake
Musab Drake is currently a Board Member of MDMC, holding the seat of Deaf Plus Board Member. He is the founding figure of the organization itself. He literally grew up watching the organization come to fruition and has benefitted from the organization’s growth and has supported the organization through donating his time and resources. Musab is a graduate of Humboldt High School where he explored a variety of talent development programs through his high school career. His work in gardening at Como Conservatory and his work at the Science Museum were two of his favorite programs. Since high school Musab has become an MDMC apprentice where he has been able to continue to explore and be involved in talent development programming at an adult level. He is also actively working with Voc Rehab and MEC in their Discovery Program to further explore/develop his talents and to seek gainful employment. Musab enjoys watching movies, all kinds of sports, especially softball and soccer, collecting (and playing with!) nerf guns, playing board games and spending time with family. Musab is passionate about helping others. He has always been a person who is empathetic, attentive and intuitive. He can often anticipate what you need before you ask him, and he jumps to ensure you have it. This ability to understand and share the feelings of others has allowed Musab to predict the needs and desires of others and this has been a huge asset to Musab and his communities around him.
