We offer pro bono ASL interpreting services to Deaf, DeafPlus, DeafBlind, and Hard of Hearing individuals, ensuring they have access to important life events and personal gatherings. These events include family reunions, weddings, funerals, family meetings, and other occasions where communication is essential. By providing these interpreting services at no cost, we strive to break down communication barriers ensuring individuals can fully participate in and engage their communities, fostering inclusion and understanding in a wide range of settings.

ASL Classes (Community Programs)
MDMC offers American Sign Language (ASL) classes to the hearing public, providing an opportunity for individuals to learn and communicate effectively with the Deaf, DeafPlus, DeafBlind, and Hard of Hearing community. These classes are especially beneficial for families with Deaf, DeafBlind, DeafPlus, or Hard-of-Hearing members, helping to bridge communication gaps and foster stronger relationships. To support accessibility and inclusion, MDMC provides these ASL classes free of charge to hearing individuals who have family members with hearing differences.
ASL Classes (Professional Programs)
We offer ASL classes for the hearing public, providing an opportunity to learn and engage with the Deaf community. These classes help hearing individuals develop essential communication skills, fostering better understanding and inclusion. For those interested in learning ASL, classes are available at a reasonable rate, making them accessible to a wider audience.

But you will need to bring your own items below

  • Picnic style lunch
  • Reusable water bottle
  • Rain jacket with hood or Ponchos (if raining)
  • Jacket or sweater (if cold)
  • Durable, close-toed shoes
  • Baseball cap or sun glasses
  • Sunscreen & Lip balm
  • Camera wrapped in padded, waterproof/plastic bag. (if you want to take photos.) If you get some good shots, enter them in our photo contest!
