Krista Machtmes is a part-time Co-Administrative Assistant at MDMC. She is also a full time Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing and has worked as a literacy tutor in the past. Krista has worked with all ages in a variety of educational settings. She is licensed in Adult Basic Education and Special Education: Deaf and Hard of Hearing. Krista is also active in disability advocacy and has a disability herself. She is passionate about being a lifelong learner, reading for fun, and helping others have fun reading. When not doing any of the above, Krista can be found trying new foods and tasting as many flavors of ice cream as she can!
